Two Souls Poem by Shaun Cronick

Two Souls

Rating: 5.0

She took the eastbound midnight train.
Bought a ticket to anywhere but here.
Her bruises would be quickly healed,
They didn't stop the way she feeled.
For this adopted child determined to escape,
To find a new home and new life to reshape.
From her fears she would try to hide,
At least now time was on her side.

He took the westbound midnight train.
Bought a ticket to anywhere but here.
His bruises would be quickly healed,
They didn't stop the way he feeled.
For this adopted child determined to escape,
To find a new home and a new life to reshape.
From his fears he would try to hide,
At least now time was on his side.

At the end of their long getaways,
Walking in a new day's morning rays.
They saw each other.
That long look shared between the two,
And at that moment both of them knew,
A bond shared between two would grow,
Kismet's kind hand was now on show.
They gazed in each others eyes so heavenly,
This moment frozen in time their destiny.
Both knew they were to belong together,
Forever joined through life's varied weather.

Two souls looking for the other.
Two souls reaching for the other.
Two souls seeking one another.
Two souls finding one another.
Two souls sharing with the other.
Two souls entwined as one.
Two souls joined as one.
Two souls searching for peace from above.
Two souls now at last finding true love.

A sad and tragic poem that ends with a sweet and calm result, a rare poetic theme that has been written in an amazing way and an excellent poetic language, which everyone who reads tastes it, and this is always the style of our talented, educated and conscious poet, Shaun, we wish him every success and it deserve 5 stars
