Two Little Ducks Poem by Jennifer Birchall

Two Little Ducks

Rating: 5.0

On my way to work a sight not expected to see
Were two little ducks on the grass right in front of me
So why was this unusual, I can hear you say
Haven't they just come, so they can have a play
So this could be true, that's what I'm led to believe
But no water around here, no puddle, pond or sea
They seemed to enjoy the grass it looked so sweet and green
And it was a lovely sight for my dreary eyes to have seen
I wanted to get a little closer and say, how do you do
I must have spoiled their fun, with that they upped and flew

An interesting little microscope upon some ducks- practically inspecting their decision to be there and how it made no sense.

Joy of an unexpected encounter captured in a playful and delightful description: the sight brightened the dreary eyes of the poet and the poem brings a smile to the reader!
