Part - 3 Seashells are noticed. Undying commotion of sea is shut. Oh! what a brilliant expression you have made dear madam! I am thrilled in the expression of this poem " Twin Faces" The most favorite lines I choose are...I hear the wail of a banshee / Announcing death / I become so small / I become so powerless / A helpless doe / Before

Part - 2 have thrillingly delineated the meek and modesty face of nature through this sea. The sea lies quiet like a babe avoiding violent tantrum. The bosom of the sea heaves in peaceful slumber. The gulls are seen and their squeals are heard. The dance of dolphins begins.Ships glide over the waters of calm sea. Coolness of water is felt.

Part - 1 The dual faces of nature has been so vividly portrayed through a sea visited by you. In fierce face you have narrated that the thundering waves rant and rave around you. Charging feral like an enraged beast Leviathan screams at you. The wail of a banshee who announces death makes you a helpless doe. On the other hand you

your poetry is truly remarkable. you need a larger canvas to paint your pictures. so many things you observe and remember standing on the sea shore-the sea, the gulls, the dolphins, sea shells, some ships...easy to read and with well chosen words!

Thank you so much for the great interest you have shown in my poems and the time you found to make such beautiful comments. Yes, the only claim, I can lay down on my poems is that they are easy to be read. They will also give some delight! However I am awed by your comments!

Behavior of sea in various times is different. Moon plays an important role in determining its behavior. If sea is a metaphor for life then what is a moon. Definitely moon is love. From infant hood to the old age phases of moon are different and life varies according to the phases of moon. A beautiful poem.

valsa, i could have accepted this simply as a poem about nature, but i think i might have had a tiny clue as to your purpose in writing it, BEFORE I READ the comment by Md Asadullah (and your answer to his/her comment) . either way, i like it a lot. Dinesh Nair puts an interesting slant on it. i see that several others picked up on the human dimensions to this poem. i'm glad you ended with the calm portion. thanks for sharing. :) bri my favorite lines: At another time The sea lies quiet like a babe Its violent tantrums lulled to sleep Its bosom heaving in peaceful slumber

Dear Asadullah... I am so happy that you have come up with the right interpretation of my poem! The sea is a metaphor for life. Sometimes we hear only the deadening roar... Sometimes life appears so calm and peaceful that we are able to see its many faceted beauty....! The amulet is a precaution to ward off all evil from life! Thank you so much !

Different individuals perceive same message differently, as per my perception here I can see that you are talking about life which you have likened to sea, the two parts of poem describe the ups and downs of life a human goes through. You are excellent in portraying minute details and this poem is no exception, loved this one, thanks for sharing :)

The two sides of nature portrayed so well.....a sea that lets boats n ships glide and yet hides within a fury that can swallow the titanic......twin faces indeed..but so is human nature...a most docile one can turn a hound if rubbed on d wrong side isn't it?

That`s nature and that`s natural. The ebbs and tides and a million human beings wondering again and again! The waves have to be like a raging woman And the calm phase is like her smile And it is the man who has to feel both... A fine portrait of the two faces not painted much. I am giving a 10 for this poem Valsa madam

hello, dear Valsaji Glad to see your varied emotional dimensions reflected on the ocean moods. wonderful, as always. Clubbing together, rather weaving both together would have been a different experience and poetic possibility too. A very humble suggestion based on a wild thought. God Bless.
