I see Dinesh Nairs's point. I think deep waters are CALM. Depth may feel dreary to us but for fish it's their natural environment. Beautifully rendered poem.

Your Cinquain on the snake is realistic. But you say about the fish living in the waters deep and dreary. It is not perhaps so.... I have read somewhere that fish lives a better life in spite of the threat to life from its bigger peers. They live an adventurous life that cannot be dreary like that of a snake.
