I think this reflects Emily Dickinson dying and starting her new life as a superhero. It shows the transformation and transition of her life, and she expresses her missing her old life when she was not saving the world. She wishes to go to a simpler time when she could spend time celebrating the holidays with her family, and not taking a bite out of crime.
