Tusu (During The Local Harvest Festival) Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Tusu (During The Local Harvest Festival)

Tusu,
When came you
The goddess,
A small goddess
To my house
And the girls bringing you
To in their arms
And with the women folk
Accompanying them,
How much,
How much delight,
Did I,
Did I, goddess,
In seeing,
Seeing you,
Lakshmi,
Lakshmi!
A small,
Small statue,
Statue of yours
Came,
Came they with
Singing,
Singing
And asking,
Asking for money!
It had been,
Had been my good luck,
Good luck
That you,
You goddess,
Came,
Came to my home
That,
That evening!
The small,
Small girls
With the statue,
The statue of yours,
Lakshmi,
The goddess
Rich harvest,
Of wealth and prosperity!
