Turn The Light This Way, Sulochana Poem by Tamiz Ludi

Turn The Light This Way, Sulochana

Rating: 1.0

Turn the light this way, Sulochana,
This side is smothered in darkness.
All those glass-insects, all those stars,
Who until now, reflecting light, had emerged,
Have vanished into woods and black holes.
Seizing this chance, bats, night-birds and flying foxes
Have come out —
Ravenous hounds with fangs bared have emerged.
Phosphorescent glimmers, like refractive indices,
Peep here and there —
They burn like purposeless, trapped lightning.
Denser and denser grows the darkness here —
Turn the light this way, Sulochana.
