We boiled down the lies in another pan till they disappeared" A fantastic life song. Great modern poem.
Orange butterfly between the claps of thunder? Perfect. And once we had it, had smelled and tasted the fragrant syrup, .. we washed that pan. a great poem. tony
Loved that serum. Enjoying nature is the best way for washing the sorrows.
don't think i'd read this one before by naomi. and i had to start again after the first read. how do we deal with " the sorrow" ? from her own life's memories and vocabulary, she satisfies, as usual, with a recipe of sensory images in a brief poem. -glen
truth serum Perfect. And once we had it, And still we have..................
We washed that pan! ! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
That did it! I am going to be reading more by this poet. She can write in the most simplistic level except it really isn't simple at all, it is a growing evolving complexity that she's drawn us in on.
susan, if you don't know it already, check out one of my favorite by her, different ways to pray. -glen
A great writing. Thanks for the sharing. Congratulations for being picked members POD.

neal. do you know her poem " different ways to pray? " it's a favorite of mine by her, one of my favorite poets writing today. -glen

Lovely reminiscences and a lesson on keeping the good and discarding the bad.
Excellent making of poetic art by words. Emotion followed intelligence. So brilliant the work, so hard such work...appreciate poet by heart. A great piece of art indeed. ...Noticed the clouds while stirring. Called upon our ancient great aunts and their long slow eyes of summer. Dropped in their names.... Unique.
A beautifully conceived meaningful poem analyzing the human transactions and their aftermath. Thanks for sharing it here.10 points
