Truth Poem by Sachidananda Panda

Truth

A heart once earnest, now cold and grit
Masks of lies spattered wild
The grin a dagger, sharp and vile
The cloak of deception, so finely worn
On the face of trust, night's pretense
Honeyed words that hide the thorn.

Remember! my friend, Karma's wheel
A silent march, though slow, but agile
With every step, each debt will show
The hand that deals in brazen lies
Will taste the truth despite disguise

Beware of the path, shadowed schemes
For justice wakes from unseen reveries
The seed of treachery you did sow
Truth like dawn, someday will pierce the night
To expose the act with piercing light.
