I think putting a fiction character like Superman in the same category as Solomon, Moses, Ghandi, and Martin Luther Jr. sort of clouded whatever truth the poem was trying to convey. Superman never lived and he is NOT real. There's no truth to his existence or accomplishments except those in comics books.
