favorite line so far (it is ALMOST funny!) : How frail and incompetent this sunrise, But loneliness won't abdicate its throne, Love and joy cannot be the sole tenants, ...............maybe they could share? a time share? or duplex-heart? ? i know [from a comment you left on another's poem: Lora Colon: Poet by Kassem Oude].............that you do have on and off moments, which balance each other out......supposedly, leaving contentment [which is what i also say i feel about my life on average]. the Fickle Finger of Fate*****! ? ? ? maybe not exactly, but i like the sound of it....alliterations turn me on. ;) :) bri :) - - - - - - - - - - - - - from Google: ****** from Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In...........TV show: The Flying Fickle Finger of Fate Award saluted actual dubious achievements by the government or famous people, such as the announcement of a new Veterans Administration hospital to be erected in Southern California shortly after another such facility was destroyed in the 1971 San Fernando earthquake. The trophy is a gilded, outstretched finger atop a square base. The flying, fickle finger of fate was already a familiar catchphrase on the show (Dan Rowan used the phrase when ushering new talent such as Tiny Tim on stage) . ============================== maybe it does not quite fit my usage of F.F. of Fate in my comment. ;) bri :)
