Suzanne, being who I am, I wonder what you mean by universe. This is another instance where I’d like to sit across a table from a writer—you in this case—and have a conversation. That aside, I recognize in this poem someone who can write and look forward to reading more by you. -Glen

I simply hold myself steady. The road ahead is long and uncertain. I must preserve my energy. I must keep parts of me in reserve. Keep pushing on no matter what, Success will be all. Joshua.

Your writing presents us with the conundrum of living within a vast mechanism of relentless entropy, where every particulate reality causes the next particulate reality, and seemingly negates the concept of free will. And yet, I sit here, thinking, writing, deciding what next to type. It is my small garden, and even though the greater machinations of existence remain beyond my grasp, I will tend my garden. And remain thankful to the Creator of vast machinations.

Thank you for this very thoughtful comment. Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking as I wrote.

As we all must engage the deep questions of existence, and so much of our culture today is aimed at keeping us from contemplative thought, the practitioners of poetry have even more responsibility to use our craft to confront our readers with thought-invoking writing. This piece does exactly that.

A sparkling piece of poetry! Each line has carried some substance! Magnificent poetic expression with insightful details...! I find you have focused on faith, patience, and truth which have the key parameters of your own perception to life! The last two lines concludes with a precise message! Many congratulations for this amazing piece of work being chosen as the POD!
