Trust Issues
He tells me he's in love with me.
He can't just be friends with me,
but I just can't let this be.
My heart is shield up,
locked up,
and I just don't want to be
caught up in all the pain
with all the games.
I know,
I've been through it before,
Don't know If I can take it once more.
You tell me It's okay.
Them sweet words that you say,
but I just can't believe it
because that's how the heartbreak plays.

My heart is shield up, locked up, and I just don't want to be caught up in all the pain with all the games. past experiences remain in us. it influences us always. it is difficult to get into a relationship after a bad experience. this is so truly expressed in this poem. thank you very much. tony
