Milt, with PH as it is now, you may no longer visit, or you may but never see this note. I hope you are well. i persevere, now and then, hoping PH will recover someday to its glory. bri : )
I think far too many of our countrymen have convinced themselves that their Church is the right Church, their behavior is just, and their politics God's true path for the nation. I think that Obama's election to two terms, was just too much for many to digest. And I thought he bent over backward to get along! I have treasured friends of more than 40 years who will no longer even talk to me. Sigh!
Interesting how people can see the same picture and have different interpretations
Well articulated and nicely brought forth with conviction. Focused and factual...
This is a well-written poem. I agree and can't understand how so many Americans, most of whom claim to be Christians, can vote for a career criminal and con artist.
At least your position on Trump is very clear-total opposition. I feel more ambivalent about Donald Trump.
What happened to the time of decency? When our leaders modeled right and good Faith and moral judgment rightly reigned And we did for country what we could.
Everyone who votes for wrong person will share in their mistakes, if the wise and the righteous will not lead us, then the fate of humanity will be on the brink of calamities. I hope people will listening to this important poetry message by our dear poet Hankins it deserves 5 stars
I fail to understand how a man like him could be democratically elected by the people of the most advanced country of the world in respect of science and education. It puts the efficacy of 'Democracy' itself as a system of governance, into question. From Trump on, I think US has lost their credibility to lead the unipolar world.
The second part of my quote: How does a man who the entire country heard say he " tried to f*ck" a married woman and grabs women " by the p*ssy" get any women to vote for him? How could a man who cheated on all three of his wives, paid hush money to a star, spends his Sunday mornings golfing instead of going to church, and dodges questions about the Bible gain the adoration of evangelical Christians?
Enjoyed your poem, but, for all that you see bad in Trump the man and president I see a voice hollowing in the wind against the entrenched democratic party that has been tearing our country apart. I've been to war and seen what communism can do to a country. I don't want that for the US. Trump is the only thing between sanity and the democrats with their socialistic designs.
What we get Is what we see When a non-politician Wins the presidency Enjoyed reading your poem Ray Hansell
No, Bill, I think I'm telling the truth about this president who is tearing down our nation!
I am currently reading Mary L Trump. This book says a lot about this current president even in his early years. I wrote Farewell Mr. Trump a few years back. Watching America right now, it really is unbelievable. " Hope is a Thing with Feathers"
Well penned, we in England are having the same trouble now with corrupt polititians
