Triumphant Sun Poem by Minerva Agriam

Triumphant Sun

You rise at the east
Like a triumphant soldier.
Your armor is the great sky,
And your shield the floating clouds.

The stars are your playmates,
And the eagles your friends.
The wind your advocate,
And the rainbow your messenger.

When you hide, the earth is blue.
When you smile the earth is gay.
You made the earth bountiful.
You ruled it with great mastery.

The clouds protect you,
The sky embrace you,
The moon your sister,
Is nothing without you.

Oh, triumphant great sun,
When you bade goodbye,
Going to set in the west,
You whisper your promise.

Lovers watch you go,
The poets dream with you.
The whole world long for you.
Coz all living beings need you.
