Triple Train Tragedy In Odisha. Poem by Nabakishore Dash

Gruesome and heart wrenching
train accident took place
in Bahanega of Odish state.
Two were fast running express
trains and one was a goods carriage
standing on a loop railway tract.

How, why, who of the accident
are being investigated by the police and
the highest investigating agency
of our Nation.
What is grievous and most serious
is the tragic end of many
passengers and the horrible scene
witnessed by the lucky survivors
and their relations.

Some are complete dead,
Some are in coma,
Some have lost limbs and organs,
Some defaced to the extent
that they are not identifiable.
Widowed wives, orphaned children,
shocked parents are frantically
searching ,
the scene created
at the site is unbearable.

Temporary morgues are
raised for storing the
dead corpses.
Temporary hospitals and medical
staff have been pressed
into uninterrupted service.

Some are coming out live
from among the dead.
Some have regained their
lost sensations even from
their crematorium bed.

Let us act promptly
to extend physical,
psychological and financial aid.
Empathise with the
sufferers and families
in their awful crusade.
