love love love this poem... I don'r think I wull ever see a tree in the city the same way, ny dear. I see red when people carve their trunks don't the know that can give access to disease and insects? Fantastgic topic and your verses touched me with emotions! 10++++++++++++++ and onto fav list
Wow- -Love your comments as they come from the most caring heart like an oxygen giving tree. God bless you dear Susan Williams.
The last stanza of your poem is absolutely radiant, the rapport between you and the tree is a trans-species friendship that brings tears to my eyes, happy tears because you have crossed a border between alien life forms - human and plant - and made a connection with plant life that can grow and thrive. The long opening stanza shows what is wrong in the present but that luminous last stanza is a vision of a beautiful future.
Thank you so much Daniel Brick for your sensitive reading and touching comment.
Men have become machines how long nature can protect the greenery of life!
Nature is part and parcel of our life and tree is one of the vital elements of nature what we should anyhow protect, protecting nature is mainly the main theme of your poem which is obviously great, thanks for sharing
A lovely poem on preservation of nature. Though efforts are being made to preserve and grow more trees it is not enough. Trees are cut mercilessly for mining and building industry. The loss can't be replenished soon and humans have to pay the price. Thanks for your concern to save tress.10++++
What an impressive poem! One of the best poems I've read recently!

Thank you Sekharan Pookkat for kindly reading my poem and giving your valuable comments. Yes, concrete jungles emit heat and make the environment hot.Trees absorb the heat and make the environment cool.
Hi Bharati, Very relevant poem on nature, trees. As you have pointed out, trees are the best example of selflessness, kindness, love, compassion et al. They stand for everything humane. Only, humans tend to be inhuman and cut them down.
The poet's heart went to the trees not to heartless concrete buildings. The trees symbolising kindness.A true nature of a poet very nicely expressed in the poem.10
Thank you Akham Nilabirdhwaja Singh for your nice words of appreciation.Yes, tress are epitome of kindness and selflessness. They give oxygen, fruits, flowers, medicines, firewoods, shade and all things essential for our living. But we clear forests and cut down tress mercilessly for modernization.
Trees! ! ! ! Giving shadows and shelter! With the romance of nature and the fragrance of life. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
