The last stanza of your poem is absolutely radiant, the rapport between you and the tree is a trans-species friendship that brings tears to my eyes, happy tears because you have crossed a border between alien life forms - human and plant - and made a connection with plant life that can grow and thrive. The long opening stanza shows what is wrong in the present but that luminous last stanza is a vision of a beautiful future.

A lovely poem on preservation of nature. Though efforts are being made to preserve and grow more trees it is not enough. Trees are cut mercilessly for mining and building industry. The loss can't be replenished soon and humans have to pay the price. Thanks for your concern to save tress.10++++

Hi Bharati, Very relevant poem on nature, trees. As you have pointed out, trees are the best example of selflessness, kindness, love, compassion et al. They stand for everything humane. Only, humans tend to be inhuman and cut them down.

The poet's heart went to the trees not to heartless concrete buildings. The trees symbolising kindness.A true nature of a poet very nicely expressed in the poem.10

Thank you Akham Nilabirdhwaja Singh for your nice words of appreciation.Yes, tress are epitome of kindness and selflessness. They give oxygen, fruits, flowers, medicines, firewoods, shade and all things essential for our living. But we clear forests and cut down tress mercilessly for modernization.
