Travel Poem by Jihad T

Travel

I travel through the day to see tomorrow
No matter what life hides—whether joy or sorrow
I do not fear the pain, I've walked roads wild and narrow
Yet still I burn, no matter what I borrow

My heart bleeds out with love, my mind won't stay so strong
Sometimes I wish to say things blamelessly wrong
I envy those gone mad; the sane ones drown alone
Quieting has ever been on the list, only to carry on

I turn from day to day so that life may pass
I hope I reach the end and get rid of the mess
So long, my friends, my parents, and class
To go under, covered by green grass
