Trapped In A Setting Poem by douglas lewis

Trapped In A Setting

Rating: 5.0

I lie down by myself
To compose a dark poem.
I turn out the light.
The setting is perfect.
Now I am done
But the heaviness lingers.
I have layered myself
Not in white linens
But in blankets of black.
