Closely related apparatus
Associated with some kind
of circus song (and dance) ,
but like a busted guitar,
could not play two cords;
And like trying to pick-up
someone up after downing
several drinks, kept moving
around the bar – although,
I was just learning the ropes,
unlike the Mayflower, they
make every move look
effortless;
Should have been more like
a seasoned magician that
pulls a rabbit out of a
black hat – knows all the
tricks; or like a moonshiner
that doesn’t move from a
still position; but then, I
thought, maybe chains that
hang off the ankles; how about
the following – thrown on a peak
like a mountain climber; a child
in a playground – gravity creates
the swing; but I always felt like
the South at Gettysburg – beaten
back; however, somehow though
I felt safe – it’s all done with
mirrors and a safety net!
