Nice that you have resurrected the above verse. I read this verse for the first time about nine years ago- on March 20,2011 to be precise. Sardar Khushwant Singh used to write his weekly Sunday column 'With malice towards one and all'. It was there that I read it with its English translation. I have pasted that paper cutting in my scrape book. Thanks for sharing the verse along with its superb translation.
