Transforming - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Transforming - Lincoln Park Zoo

With brothers two and sisters two,
The oldest sibling Patty is,
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo,
Top of gorilla sibling biz.
At nine years old she's 'twixt and 'tween
Being a kid and be grown up,
Challenging her daily routine.
It's hard being the oldest - yup!
Sometimes she wonders when she's grown
What sort of a Mom will she be
When she has children of her own -
All that responsibility.

Come less thoughts of a child, instead
More thoughts of a parent ahead.
