When tragedy strikes
It doesn't take long
To see who has your back
And who holds the knife
It doesn't take much
To see who you can trust
And who looks to prosper
From the misfortune that is dealt
If one positive could be said
When the roles are reverse
It gives a whole new light
A whole new perspective
When the bad happens to you
You learn to see clearly
without the blinders
Without the filters
We all fall sometimes
We all feel pain
What's worse is when this
Comes with the blame
I will be damned
That from here on out
I will look at another
In a negative way
No one knows the full situation
Not even the full story
But we feed off the rumors
And judge before the jury
Bad has come my way today
Tomorrow will be a better day
May my heart remember
And be the light when others fall
