These are dark images that carry the weight of the poem's sorrow, but they are also harmonious in the musical sense. Even or perhaps especially in your grief the poetry and music respond to your shaping hand and create a JOY deeper than sorrows, as Nietzsche put it in ZARATHUSTRA. He too found it difficult TO KEEP ON LIVING IN THIS LOVE-FORSAKEN WORLD. But he did because of the JOY which longs for ETERNITY PREVAILS OVER SORROW. For him that was a metaphor and it sustained him. For you that is a supernatural reality and it will redeem you.
