Forever Friends

As soon as they hear the music start,
They begin dancing their way into our hearts;
Beneath a sky of purple and pink,
The couple take off around the rink.

Both look smart: they are dressed to impress,
And they deliver their moves with such skill and finesse;
They skate together in perfect time.
Like stars in the sky, they brightly shine.

A sense of magic fills the night air,
As, their love of skating, the two friends share;
Between the two, you can feel the connection,
As they skate about in every direction.

They dart and dive, and twist and twirl:
Dancing on top of a moonlit world;
Moving together; dance steps flowing;
Silently sailing; their faces are glowing.

Fireworks fill the evening sky,
As, over the ice, they freely fly;
Performing lifts and spins and many a rotation,
Capturing hearts right across the nation.

The pair, they deliver a flawless routine:
Of skating like them, many folk only dream.
In each other, they know they've a friend,
As their perfect performance comes to an end.
