Torrents Of Tears Poem by Tom Allport

Torrents Of Tears

Rating: 5.0

We are here
Because we are here
Waiting for the show
And the whistle to blow
Not wanting to fall
With our bodies and soul
All thinking of ome
But we are here
Bacause we are here
Trapped like rats
Caught in the storm
And everywhere the carnage
And the reaper's call
Of senseless thunderous mayhem
Of barbed wire defences
And gluepot steps
The hissing hissing and mad cap hats
And the torrents of tears
Leaving our history in the snow
We are here
Because we are here
Physically here with fear
Side by slide
For God, King and Country
Slide by side
For Flag, Honour and Commardary
But most of all
We are here
For You
