I live in Kansas and have seen tornadoes all my life. I've been to New York, and to see a tornado there would be very strange indeed. Great description!

I'm close enough to NY that I get there on occasion and as a sometimes visitor/observer, I beg to differ - there are tornados in NY, I think... they are, though, of the human sort. Actually.... I think I may have been one myself a few years back (don't ask) . : P It's quite a thing to ponder though... watching a funnel cloud roll into New York. Geesh... yeh... that would be something. You've painted an image in my mind that is nothing short of alarming. Christine
