Topsy-Turvy Democracy Poem by MAHTAB BANGALEE

Topsy-Turvy Democracy

Rating: 5.0

The republic is spelled by unknown incantations
Extinct the conscience for unknown meditations
Everyone walks to the rhythm of Hamelin's pied pipe
Democracy is dislocated by the fight and counter fight
Peoples of the republic live in plaintiff-defendant's motions

'The republic' could apply to a number of countries, but in general democracies are struggling and people are following the pied piper wherever he leads.
