Top Of The World Poem by Cowboy Ron Williams

Top Of The World

Rating: 5.0

It always gives
me such a thrill
to stand upon
the highest hill.

So I get on
my horse and ride
up to the highest
mountainside.

I always see
a herd of deer
and cross a stream
of water clear.

I ride through quakies,
oak and pine
and get above
the timberline.

When I get on
the highest peak
I get so choked
up I can't speak.

Beauty as far
as I can see,
a glimpse into
eternity.

Thanks, Smoky. I haven't logged in for a while. Glad to see you're still here, but the website has gone to pot. Most new 'poems' are ads for call girls.
