Wow, Eddie. I love this poem. Every line is so full of discriptive images. Every thought you mention has gone through mind at one time or another. How great might it have been to experience the adventures we have dreamed of. How great would it be for the 'old' man to look back over life and say 'I did all these things.' But, then I realize that if I had really made those choices, and done those things, I would most likely not have the family I have and all the things that are so important to me now. Would I trade? Never. But, one can always dream. This poem has to go into my favorites my friend. Top marks indeed. Richard

This is an impressive and very well expressed tale, Eddie, one filled with quite vivid imagery and the spirit of adventure from beginning to end. Once again, your outstanding phrasing in this fine poem excelled. It would be a wonderful story if read aloud on the radio late at night, perhaps with a thunderstorm in the backround. It is reminescent of the great poems of Robert W. Service and a few others who wrote great poems of adventure. Carl.
