Tombs And Graves Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Tombs And Graves

I came to the tombs and
graves.
Cemetery of obfuscated
desires
Cemetery of obfuscated wills.

Ah! I failed to
calculate
that cemetery as a monument
a temple sacred
with a place as the Colosseum
has
in civilization.

No wonder I feel down
the shrouds and ghosts
inhabitants of the sacred cemetery
are
niggling me.
