While I was waiting for a boat to cross a river
a leaf drifted into the river beside me
Shaking his hand, he said to me -
You'll be fine, you have more time to live
I have run out of time
There is nothing for me to think about
Don't even try to move forward to save me
I used to stand and watch the dry leaves
floating in the river till the time I saw it
I think about the precious time
Truly the time is running its course
and I am so far from it
Lovely dry leaves!
What a long history it has been from humble beginnings to the end of time
Who knows the long history of who created it?
The boat came to a halt in the river beside me
The boatman told me
it was time to cross the river
Today I have to cross this river for my duty
