Today and its Meaning
There is no word given as more meaningfull as today,
There is would be nocolor as bright as the sky,
The day would not be as hopefull as today,
The flowers not as special as a gift from the sky, as the trees,
As these birds introducing these flights
The rain more appreciative in coming as today,
As the wind, the breath of air in my lungs,
The night with these stars and the moon
More gratefull to a creator God who made these visions to be seen as a witness,
There would be nothing to remember you by withouttoday,
The rose would not be as special
If it were not recieved by you today.
The day would not be as hopefull as a love song from a stereo,
Legacies, sons and daughters,
And the love from a mother and a father,
Friends and teachers, and other acquaintances, all meaningless,
The beautiful cities, the evolving megastructures of steel and concrets,
The future and the outcomes,
Dimmed and unknown without sense without today.
