To Women 13. Tell A Woman A Secret And…

- Tell a woman no secret
Because she won’t keep it.
At once she begins thinking
Either it is worth keeping
Or it’s too good to keep it.
- Oh! It’s true, I admit.
Hasn’t your wife kept even
One?
______- Why? It was once, Stephen,
Of course if you except me.
She was told that Annie,
A friend of hers, would run away
With a certain Augustus Gray.
She was delighted a lot.
She told me and then thought
Who she would ring first of all.
Somebody gave her a call
To tell her that shocking news
And to add that her friends knew.
And all of them kept ringing
To tell her the same that evening.
