To Think Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

To Think

Rating: 5.0

I could have died

To think i could have died
How many would have cried
There are so many pretenders
Fawning love only to spite
Acting as if they are defenders
They say you're right
Then whisper you're stupid
Strike you with arrow not from Cupid

To think i could have died
How many would have tried
Tried to save me from the shame
Not given me the same
Bleeding my heart with deceipt
My money there is no receipt
My time there's no refund
Just more and more demands

To think i could have died
I wonder who would ve cried
She was there to apply heat
She was there to treat my wrist
Made sure i didnt take the wrong pill
Convulse sweat and be killed
Then she was awake with me
To make sure i was healed
