To The Sun God Poem by Sankhajit Bhattacharjee

To The Sun God

Rating: 5.0

O, the Sun God, we worship you
as you are the ultimate source of heat, light and energy.
But your body takes daily bath in the moon rays-
the latter's feminine appeal makes you restless and
until and unless you defame her,
you hardly stop.
The world observes the black marks on her white face,
but your maleness prevents us to look at yours...
Her black marks may not have touched
your hot, illuminated and energetic body-
I hope so.
