A free flight of creativity on winged imagination, in fine and lofty verse with Shakespearean sonnet rhythmic splendour. Thanks for sharing Michael and do remain blessed.
A well-constructed sonnet, the sort of form I use myself. The Trinity I take to be the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of theology. The three Persons in one are made to seem very human in your small hut: at the same time they are 'windows through whom I can see'. An imaginative conceit-style metaphor. A tremendous poem.
And they remained to make their home with me, To be three windows through whom I can see.. what a beautiful imagination and at the same time it is theology. it is the theology of the Holy Trinity you are writing in a picturesque way. very very nice. you have the gift of faith in you. tony
Thank you, Tony. I had Byzantine icons in mind when I penned it. Topics like the Trinity used to be fitting matter for rhymed meter in the days of the Metaphysical Poets, and I hope to revive that tradition. May the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit bless you.
Let the holy spirit come to unite us with the FATHER and the SON
