This little piece is a song that is the breeze that rustles the mind's foliage. Thanks for sharing.

A LITTLE OF YOUR TOUCH CAN HEAL THE SOUL: you link the worldly with the spiritual, but in an understated manner I find very persuasive. It's not in the coded language of the SUFI poets but your poem has that larger dimension. The intimacy between you and the breeze shows that connection between us humans and Nature, we are DEEPLY INTERFUSED in Nature as Wordsworth put it. Even the extreme heat of summer responds to us with a refreshing breeze.

Exposed to the oppressive suffocating heat. You speak to nature's powers and ask for just a little mercy. Not a dip in a cool crystal pool or clouds to form and block the suns red hot glare but instead just a small desire. A wish for the wind to stir the trees if only for a moment. A soothing murmur to ease your spirit. Such a small request amid this land of cracked earth and golden moaning grass. The poem left me to feel the weight of the day as the heat blurred the poetic figures before my eyes..............

Hi Nosheen, Again a very nice poem from Nosheen. The parched land gasps The golden grass moans A little of your touch Can heal the soul The choice of a few simple ordinary words make the poem extraordinary: little of your touch, heal the soul', soothing murmur etc. Enjoyed reading the poem. Congrats and keep writing.
