‘to Possess Or Not Possess' - That Is The Question Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

‘to Possess Or Not Possess' - That Is The Question

‘To possess or not possess' - that is the Question
Lust for Possession shrieks: 'To Court, to Law, to War'

The King told waters to recede;
And they receded not but in the under-waves
Chuckling was heard.

Rose from the throne the irate King
That be the Icon of a certain Human Race.

Ethics, Philosophy, Civilization weep.

Yet Man lusts on and on - and wars.
