To Overhear In Proud Devils Poem by james watkin

To Overhear In Proud Devils

To overhear in proud devils
By children's noise repelled
Cowed growls, in birth-time's meek cries!
Of lowly earth upswelled!
Confident they discern in each
Littleness, cleanly made
What's evil to them, jesus-designed.
Their own selves to degrade.
