To My Yearling Poem by Michel Angelo

To My Yearling

Rating: 4.5

Grow my yearling
Trot, trot and trot everyday
Grow as a mustang to gallop far away
behind the magnificent hill.
At the wake of the dawn
and at the hour of sunset
I'll keep galloping here forever
even when all my ridings are done.
I'll surely hold you
and hold you firm
Even, when my hands will tremor
And my legs fail to trot
When mustang gallops behind the hills
Stallion lives with the feeling
what he shared once with his yearling
Right beneath this pegging tree.
Stallion will keep gazing at the hills,
cause his yearling has gone there forever,
Just an arm away from holding,
and just a hug away from fear.
Oh my little yearling
Make a promise to me
when I teach you trotting today,
that you'll gallop like a queen
behind that glorious hills.
Promise me that you'll never look back,
at your stallion dad to sight his tears
flowing from his loving black eyes.
I'll be galloping for you here forever.
