" Where is thy glory, where the reverence now? Thy eagle pinion is chained down at last, And grovelling in the lowly dust art thou" When the glorious days are lost. Beautiful.

My country! In thy days of glory past and worshipped as a deity thou wast— Where is thy glory, where the reverence now? .... //... A poem written to express the anguish at the misery of this country (India) when it was under the British colonial rule vis-à-vis that of her glorious past. I read it in my school.

A poem remembering the golden past of the country. Poem with a smooth flow and nice rhyming that makes good reading. 'Thy minstrel hath no wreath to weave for thee Save the sad story of thy misery! '.. is very nice.10++
