To My Lover
You are my lover
there is no other
you have captured my heart
and even when apart
my heart beats for your drum only
I sing the blues
when not with you
for the birds sing
only when you ring
a tune that I never knew
I learned to love myself
when I started loving you
By looking outside yourself, you are better able to see what is inside; including love. A really good poem.
