To My Ancient Mother Please Instructs Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

To My Ancient Mother Please Instructs

To My Ancient Mother Please Instructs

What kinds of nameless skies and wild seasons
Restless earth and its four pronged winds,

Awes or disillusions,
Abeyances or disobedience?

What depths must a man encounter, what debts must he repay before he knows,

Sex initiations, life's journeys, debuts and his wide travels,
Ripeness and mellowing years and his deathbeds,
Home at his reigned when peace,
Defense for his land when at wars,

From all this elemental habitat and nature bounties,
Food sources, water oasis and life giving air,

From these extentions of a long life,
Or maybe a short exits,

What harm have they done to you,
What favors were they ungrateful for?

Land of Romances, Life for Existence,
Rivers for the Corpses, this Wild Terrifying Nightmares and Mind Boggling Adventure,

Land for passions, scorns, burials, conflicts or misunderstandings,
Pestilents, microbes, terrorisms, wars and the millionth deaths.

Dear dear Mother Earth please teach me,
My One and ancient mother please instructsme.
