Not this one again. I hate to be a fuddy-duddy but cut and paste just does'nt cut it for me and my vulgar herd, but I was thinking of attaching a paint brush to my horse's tail and back him up to a canvas especially on a fly-filled afternoon- -I could call it Dadist Art
What a way to create a poem! Really strange and unaesthetic!
Very nicely as it is! 10++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
it's interesting on this one reading comments from other ph people. i didn't know this writer, didn't know, as susan wms points out, that he was himself in the dada movement (rather than making fun of it) . the exercise he describes i know to be called a found poem. to assemble one can be entertaining. but what makes a poem durable? -gk
Some people (Those who are not in poetry) think that writing modern poems is very easy.It can be written putting random words side by side. This can not be said of this poem. I do not have an idea about a Dadist poem.Perhaps the poet means how to connect the random things and find a meaning there. The word- 'Conscientiously ' implies it.- -'The poem will resemble you' - - You connect with words, you find meaning as per your inner world.
I was hoping this was written in jest. Apparently not. Tristan Tzara was the leader of an avant-garde movement called dada. Dada protested the concept of art and western civilization. Also reason. Dada wasn't into syntax, grammar was just too restrictive for the expression of their talent. Unsurprisingly, the Dadaists were into cacophony, dreams, and drugs. They would have loved the psychedelic hippy movement.
Last line is more important to know the poets are called Dadaist. Perhaps!
A very unique perspective.. for creating perspective, shake out words cut out from an article from a bag.. to stand out from the herd. thanks.
Fantasy! Enjoyed the fantastic write. Thanks for sharing and giving a superb idea of how not to manipulate things.Ten points.
I think a childs comic would be more appropriate for some readers. Good poem.
Though I'm not agreed, yet it's a nice poem. Bust nasty joke....
I will have to find a more interesting newspaper than the Morgantown Dominion Post. Perhaps one of those supermarket tabloids?
