To Love Someone More

To Love Someone More

To love someone more than yourself
Is what 'True Love' consists of today
When the simple dimples of a smile
Makes the sun shine, in your wild eyes
Livid with passions surmized, as a sign
That your heart is pounding overtime
Echoing the sentiments that this love
Was destiny if it's reciprocated equally
Between a heroine and the hero in him:

Like the clouds rolling away on a sunny day
Like novocaine wearing off on a pretty face
Like sirens in the night by heroes saving you
Like the world realizing peace is an avenue
Like a man on his knees asking a woman to
Marry him after they've been together forever
To love someone more than yourself is True
Love...

... Hanging on by a simple thread,
That could snowball into a ball of yarn,
The Love is True,
If the love is unconditional and always warm.

... Yes, to love someone more now,
Is the greatest test in a human lifetime,
And humanity will judge a couple in their lives
By the way he looks at you, and you look at him
In the brightest and darkest hours of a marriage.
