I write a line and two for Gani
Hoping that it will flash out the fire of
Sadness and tears from your eyes
You, a man known to have journeyed
On paths unknown to man
You, a man versed in perfect choice of fights
The fights at Chileka road and against the shrewed Njoks-
Always tell me you have a root to survival in place
The courage and will power have been the base of your strength
And this fire, razing down your inheritance
Should not wear your soul down with sorrow
As you stand and look at the ash and final smoke fromthe rubble
Bear in mind this is what the wise call rock bottom
Life has accorded your family an opportunity
To rebuild a new legacy.
