The ' we' here are indicates us those people who think that we are in this world for a very long time
I did this at school last week. It is a nice poem but slightly confusing
In this lovely poem Herrick likens man`s life span to that of a daffodil.I learned the poem when I was a schoolboy in Cork and have never forgotten it.
