To Conquer All The World. Poem by Majid Zubedi

To Conquer All The World.

Rating: 4.7

All the great rulers of the past;
they came to me with Napoleon Bonaparte.
Genghis Khan, Hulagu and Roman Mark Antony;
and this century's Nicholas and Mussolini.
about all the sphere, they ever dreamt to conquer;
and become the history's greatest emperor.
'I also thought like that', said Alexander the great;
'Now I feel, it was my big mistake'.
a vast army when Hulagu Khan led;
'slaughter every head' he ordered in Baghdad.
he said, 'In my whole life, I never forgave;
if one begged for the life, but I never gave.
I supposed that life and death I can give;
I am immortal, therefore I'll ever live.
but I couldn't extend, when my last day came;
when time is ended for me, now I'm ashamed.
as a cruel, I will be known forever;
now I can not change the history in my favour'.
after admitting his guilt, further said the Czar of Russia;
'Our empire was extended, Alaska to Persia.
while we ruled all the land's one-third;
but wanted to conquer rest of the world.
then came Bolshevik revolution of October;
and our empire was thrown forever.
our entire family was imprisoned in a single room;
had not any permission to see even the moon.
if we were knowing our empire's last days;
we never ruled the empire, like that way.
and after our death, what there happened;
we are no more emperors, on the heaven.
if your dream is also to be famous;
be through kindness but never do like us'.
just after call from the Heaven, they said me good-bye;
and they were crying when going to the sky.
they all were in front of me, or it was my dream?
their eyes were filled with tears, what I've seen.
