To Be So Tracked In Tenderness Poem by james watkin

To Be So Tracked In Tenderness

To be so tracked in tenderness
A cat's quarry must I be.
This pliant overcome, while its
Repose is gouged out of me!

To find myself stared down with
All of yearning's soft distress;
Like that of some fierce tribeswoman
Draped in skins of lioness.
